Upcoming Smooth Jazz Festivals and Events

May 4 – Paula Atherton & Willie Bradley in Concert, Delaware Loves Jazz, Wilmington, DE

WE’RE REALLY DOING THIS, PEOPLE!!!

We at The Smooth Jazz Ride have been talking about getting into the concert promotion business for a couple of years now…and now, we’re gonna make this happen!

While our ultimate goal is to present concerts as fundraisers to help provide music schools and students with instruments, literature and the first-hand perspective of artists, we are partnering up with Entertainment By Candlelight to present the genre ‘up close and personal’ to students while we give general concert goers that groove they know so well…

So…mark your calendars for May 4, 2019, when The Smooth Jazz Ride and Entertainment by Candlelight present an all-new cool experience for you and a real motivational experience for music students. Join singer and saxtress Paula Atherton and trumpeter Willie Bradley for an afternoon of high-energy music and a rare opportunity for a question and answer segment after the show so that kids of all ages will have the chance to find out how artists do what they do! Come early to enjoy the vendors that will be providing food, services and art at this school setting…and we hope that this is the first of many shows that we can put on for our cause!

Since 2004, The Smooth Jazz Cruise has set the standard not only for jazz cruises, but for all theme cruises, earning the title “The Greatest Part at Sea.” If you haven’t had the pleasure of going on a music cruise, this is the one to cut your jazz chops on…but be forewarned: once you’ve been on a themed cruise, you will NEVER be able to go on any other ship ever! The interaction between fans and artists, the late night jam sessions, the activities onboard, the Q&A sessions…I could go on forever! And while you may think that 2019 is still two years away, it actually is not too soon to book this cruise as both 2018 cruises are already sold out and has a waitlist for both sailings!

Hosted by Marcus Miller and Boney James, featuring Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour, Lalah Hathaway, Brian Culbertson, Candy Dulfer, Kirk Whalum, Najee, Eric Darius, Nick Colionne, Jonathan Butler, Alonzo Bodden. More great acts to be announced in September.
